IBS is also an active member of leading educational business associations such as EFMD, AASCB and EABIS.
The faculty of IBS engages in an extensive network of joint projects with the faculty members of other distinguished international universities. Through these valuable contacts, IBS is able to forge closer ties with schools all over the world.
Corporate Contribution and Sponsorship
The ISCTE Business School's connections with the business world have always been a key element of its reputation. In the first two decades of its history, the school was managed by some of the top names in Portugal's management world. This early exposure to excellence and achievement created a strong entrepreneurial environment, an attitude toward decision making that is fast and effective, and an organizational structure aimed to deliver programmes of outstanding professional value. This spirit of excellence has endured and thrived over subsequent years, as the school moved toward professionally valuable programmes and developed its research capacities and facilities.
The business community continues to play an important role in the School's activities. Respected members of the business world are part of our part-time faculty and sit on our Supervisory Board. They are also involved in several partnerships aimed at developing applied research projects, internships, executive programmes, conferences and a host of other inestimable activities.
Additionally, the business community has provided valuable financial support to the School. It funds the Excellence Recognition Programme that annually grants scholarships and awards to the most distinguished students of ISCTE Business School. Below are the corporations that sponsor the Programme:
